Ride Leader Incentive Program
Ride Leader Punchcard
As of Thursday, July 18th 2013 SCC is implementing a new program with Atlanta Trek in McDonough to "incentive-ize" the club's ride leader program from Trek. The program requires volunteers to lead 10 Newbie, C, and/or B-Social rides on Tuesday or Thursday evening during the 2013 ride season. After completing the 10 rides as leader a free pro jersey will be presented to the volunteer.
Ride leaders must be SCC members and must have reviewed the SCC resources listed above, as well as our new rider and group ride policies posted online. Ride leader responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing the ride briefing, knowing the route, and offering assistance to other riders. A minimum of 10 rides as leader is required to be eligible to receive the free jersey. Volunteers will be provided a punch card. This offer is not retroactive. Most SCC routes can be found on our Ride With GPS account.
Punchcards will be available at the Atlanta Trek bicycle shop in McDonough. Volunteers may leave the cards at Trek (so they don't forget them). Please be sure to coordinate your ride leader slot prior to the ride with either Trek at (770) 320-7477 or SCC via e-mail at secretary@bikescc.org. Offer expires December 31st, 2013.
To get started, interested parties should arrive at the Trek shop 45 minutes before the 6:15PM ride time to review safety procedures and policies.
A similar program will also be implemented at Epic Bikes the details of which are not yet finalized.
